I always wanted to do PGDM because it is simply a professional approach
which basically concentrate on real time analysis, current situations and case
studies. A PGDM fuels the aspirants with its activity-packed semesters and
produces a new breed of future management professionals/entrepreneurs. More importantly, they offer high value-added courses and interesting
workshops to enhance the employ ability of the students and to brush-up their
life skills. Hence the course focuses not only on academics but also on
personal, as well as, professional dimensions of a student. Also PGDM is designed and developed by the college and is far more flexible
in its curriculum design. This flexibility makes it possible for the college to
continuously upgrade and improve the curriculum. This makes the PGDM far
more industry oriented.PGDM course plays a pivotal role by making the students
fit to face the challenges of the changing industry scenario. It encourages
their creativity, enhances core capabilities and imparts specific skills. An
MBA is for those who seek a university programme to get a holistic view of the
programme while the PGDM is for those who seek specialization in the area of their interest. As a whole PGDM course is a hot option among management aspirants , be it a graduate straight out of the college or a working professional wanting to develop/enhance his or her managerial or entrepreneurial skills. so i chose PGDM to MBA.

why pgdm ????
Management is the life of many
activities. I strongly feel that technical and managerial aspects within an
organization go hand in hand. Coming from an IT background helped me enhance my
logical and analytical abilities. My active participation in various activities
in college helped me imbibe leadership skills. My long term objective is to
become an entrepreneur and to take my dad’s business to great heights. For
which, I need to gain more business knowledge to pursue a career path that
would help me understand fully the business processes in an organization and
take part in strategic business decisions in the organization. To achieve this
along with self-development, one has to understand the depths and core of
management. Thus I need to complement my technological skills with a management
degree from an esteemed institute like PSGIM. A management degree will equip me
with sound management practices which will fill in the hiatus in my
professional career. I believe that PGDM with its exposure
to real life situations where managerial skills are tested can provide me with
the right platform to acquire all the skills that are required to fulfill my
dream.
